With three races in the six round 2026 European Le Mans Series completed, all four class titles are still too close to call.
United Autosports doubled their championship lead from three to six-points after Gregoire Saucy, Griffin Peebles and Ben Hanley secured their third podium finish of the year at the end of the 4 Hours of Imola. The no22 Oreca-Gibson is currently on 58-points, with double race winners Louis Rousset, Esteban Masson and Oliver Gray on 52-points in the no29 Forestier Racing by Panis.
After finishing second in Barcelona and Le Castellet, Bijoy Garg and Reshad De Gerus finished sixth in Italy, dropping the no34 Inter Europol Competition Oreca back to third spot on 45-points, but still within striking distance for the two leading cars. The no18 IDEC Sport Oreca finished fourth for the third time in a row, with Jamie Chadwick, Valerio Rinicella and Laurents Hörr on 36-points heading into the next race at Spa-Francorchamps.
In LM2 Pro/Am the positions all changed after a dramatic race in Italy. 4 Hours of Barcelona winners Michael Jensen, Enzo Trulli and Malthe Jakobsen moved back to the top of the standings after finishing second in Italy. The no20 Algarve Pro Racing Oreca-Gibson is on 43-points, exactly the same as 4 Hours of Imola winners Jens Reno Moller, Cem Bölükbaşı and Lorenzo Fluxa.
A disappointing run in Italy saw the former championship leaders Giorgio Roda, Doriane Pin and Richard Vershoor drop back to third in the standings on 38-points after finishing the 4 Hours of Imola in seventh place from pole position. They are two points ahead of the no83 AF Corse Oreca, with François Perrodo, Matthieu Vaxiviere and Antonio Fuoco on 36-points after three races.
The order in the LMP3 class was mixed up with Rinaldi Racing returning to the top of the standings after Jose Fernandes Cautela, Alvise Rodella and Mikkel Gaarde Pedersen took second place in Italy. The no5 Ligier-Toyota holds an eight-point lead on 49 points to 41 points for former championship leaders Alex Bukhantsov, Henry Cubides Olarte and Chun Ting Chou, after the no13 Inter Europol Competition Ligier finished tenth in Italy.
Reigning champions CLX Motorsport got their title defence back on track with a perfect 26-points in Imola, leaping up the order from eighth to third in the standings on 40-points.
After taking victory from pole position, the no33 TF Sport Corvette sits at the top of the championship standings after three races on 44-points, with Blake McDonald, Alec Udell and Charlie Eastwood moving up from fifth in the standings. The TF Sport crew are just one point ahead of Barcelona race winners Matt Kurzejewski, Thomas Sargent and Richard Lietz in the no75 Proton Competition Porsche.
4 Hours of Le Castellet winners Takeshi Kimura, Mathys Jaubert and Daniel Serra drop back to third in the title race on 40-points after the no57 Kessel racing Ferrari didn’t score any points in Italy. The no62 Team Qatar by Iron Lynx Mercedes-AMG moved from seventh to fourth on 32-points after Abdulla Ali Al-Khelaifi, Julien Hanses and Maxime Martin took second place in Imola, the first podium for Qatari flagged car.
Round 4 of the 2026 European Le Mans Series will be the 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps on Sunday 23rd August.
