The entry list for the eighth visit by the European Le Mans Series to the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari since 2013 will see another maximum 47 car grid, with 139 drivers representing 29 different countries from all corners of the world.
The grid for the 4 Hours of Imola, the third race of the 2026 season, will feature seven drivers and five cars all racing at home.
Following the first two races of the 2026 season, United Autosports are leading the way after securing a podium finish in Barcelona and then in Le Castellet Griffin Peebles, Grégoire Saucy and Ben Hanley secured the first overall ELMS victory for the Anglo-American team since 2023 to take the championship lead.
After missing the 4 Hours of Le Castellet, Nick Yelloly returns to the cockpit of the no43 Inter Europol Competition Oreca-Gibson, joining fellow double 24 Hours of Le Mans LMP2 champions Kuba Smiechowski and Tom Dillmann after they secured another famous victory at the Circuit De La Sarthe on Sunday 14 June.
Inter Europol Competition’s other entry is the no34 Oreca-Gibson, with Reshad De Gerus and Bijoy Garg lying in second place in the championship standings after two second place finishes in Barcelona and Le Castellet and they arrive in Imola on the back of another second-place finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans behind their teammates.
Reigning ELMS champions and Round 1 winning team Forestier Racing by Panis dropped back to third in the standings after failing to finish in Le Castellet, picking up one point for pole position. Esteban Masson, Oliver Gray and Louis Rousset will be looking to return to winning ways in Italy, the circuit where Gray and Masson won in their championship winning year last season.
Valerio Rinicella is the only Italian driver on the LMP2 grid and will join his IDEC Sport teammates Laurents Hörr and Jamie Chadwick in the no18 Oreca-Gibson. After two fourth place finishes in the opening two races of the season, Rinicella will be looking for a podium finish at his home race.
The LMP2 field is completed by the second entry by IDEC Sport, Proton Competition, Vector Sport, Nielsen Racing, Algarve Pro Racing and CLX Motorsport.
After two podium finishes, one from pole position, Doriane Pin, Richard Vershoor and their Italian teammate Giorgio Roda are the current championship leaders in the no30 Duqueine Team Oreca-Gibson. They currently hold a 5-point lead over the no83 AF Corse Oreca, with Ferrari factory driver Antonio Fuoco will race at home alongside his French teammates François Perrodo and Matthieu Vaxiviere.
The third Italian driver on the LMP2 Pro/Am grid is Enzo Trulli, the son of former F1 race winner Jarno Trulli, is racing in the no20 Algarve Pro Racing and has already stood on the top step of the ELMS podium in Spain alongside his Danish teammates Malthe Jakobsen and Michael Jensen.
Le Castellet class winners Alex Quinn, James Allen and Kriton Lentoudis are hoping for another race winning performance in Italy in the no27 Nielsen Racing Oreca.
After missing the 4 Hours of Le Castellet last month, Louis Delétraz rejoins his American teammates PJ Hyett and Dane Cameron in Imola. The trio won the 2025 4 Hours of Imola on their way to the LMP2 Pro/Am title and the American Swiss trio will be looking for a repeat of the performance from 12 months ago to push them further up the championship standings.
The 12-car strong LMP2 Pro/Am grid is completed by the no3 DKR Engineering, the no7 Vector Sport, the no14 TDS Racing, the no19 Rossa Racing by Virage, the no21 United Autosports, the no47 CLX Motorsport and the no88 Proton Competition.
The 10 car LMP3 field will feature one Italian team, Eurointernational, and one Italian driver, Matteo Quintarelli.
After securing the LMP3 win in Le Castellet and a podium in Barcelona, Alex Bukhantsov, Chun Ting Chou and Henry Cubides Olarte are the current championship leaders in the no13 Inter Europol Competition Ligier-Toyota. The Polish team holds a 9-point advantage over Round 1 winners Alvise Rodella, Jose Fernandes Cautela and Mikkel Gaarde Pedersen in the no5 Rinaldi Racing Ligier.
There are two driver changes on the LMP3 grid, with Louis Iglesias replacing Bruno Ribeiro in the no17 CLX Motorsport Ligier, joining regular drivers Paul Lanchère and Alexander Jacoby. With Quentin Antonel not racing in Italy, the no68 M Racing Ligier will feature Thomas Imbourg and Nick Adcock as the only two driver crew on the LMP3 grid
The 10-car strong LMP3 field is completed by DKR Engineering, Team Virage, Racing Spirit of Léman, Ultimate and R-ace GP.
The largest class on the ELMS grid is the 14-car strong LMGT3 field with three cars, the no50 Richard Mille AF Corse Ferrari, the no51 AF Corse Ferrari and the no63 Iron Lynx Mercedes-AMG, and two drivers, Davide Rigon and Riccardo Agostini competing in their home event in Imola.
The LMGT3 field also features six different manufacturers, with Ferrari, Aston Martin, Corvette, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche.
After securing victory in Le Castellet last month, the no57 Kessel Racing Ferrari of Takeshi Kimura, Mathys Jaubert and Daniel Serra is the current championship leader, the Swiss team on 40 points, nine ahead of Round 1 winners Matt Kurzejewski, Thomas Sargent and Richard Lietz in the no75 Proton Competition Porsche 911.
There are two driver changes on the LMGT3 grid for the 4 Hours of Imola, with Harry King joining Bankcy and Huub Van Eijndhoven in the no77 Proton Competition Porsche in place of Joel Sturm. The second driver joining the field is Austrian Klaus Bachler, who is replacing Thomas Preining in the no54 High Class Racing Porsche and will race alongside Max Moritz and Anders Fjordbach.
The 2025 4 Hours of Imola was won by Charlie Eastwood, Rui Andrade and Hiroshi Koizumi in the no82 TF Sport Corvette, which was their first win on their way to the LMGT3 title. Eastwood is back with TF Sport in the no33 Corvette alongside Americans Blake McDonald and Alec Udell, while Rui Andrade is racing in the no63 Iron Lynx Mercedes-AMG with Sergio Sette Camara and Ameerh Naran.
The no55 Spirit of Race Ferrari is currently third in the championship standings, with Matt Griffin, Duncan Cameron and David Perel on 20-points, two ahead of the no33 TF Sport Corvette and the no23 United Autosports McLaren of Michael Birch, Garnet Patterson and Wayne Boyd.
After securing pole position in both the opening races in Barcelona and Le Castellet, Abdulla Ali Al-Khelaifi will be looking to make it three in a row and also secure his first ELMS podium with teammates Julian Hanses and Maxime Martin in the no62 Team Qatar by Iron Lynx Mercedes-AMG in Italy.
The LMGT3 field is completed by the no59 Racing Spirit of Léman Aston Martin Vantage, the no74 Kessel Racing Ferrari and the no86 GR Racing Ferrari 296 LMGT3 Evo.
The 4 Hours of Imola is Round 3 of the 2026 European Le Mans Series and takes place at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari on Sunday 5 July.
