Oliver Gray set the early pace in the no29 Forestier Racing by Panis but dropped behind Dillmann and the no37 CLX Motorsport of Adrien Closmenil.
Laurents Horr and Reshad de Gerus also made bids for the top spot on the grid in the no18 IDEC Sport and no34 Inter Europol Competitions Orecas but it was Tom Dillmann who held onto the pole position as the chequered flag was waved.
Adrien Closmenil claimed the other front row starting position for CLX with a 1m43.380, with Oliver Gray bouncing back up the order to third at the flag with a 1m43.401, pushing the no34 Oreca back to fourth. The no18 IDEC Sport will start at the head of row 3, with the no25 Algarve Pro Racing Oreca finishing the session 6th fastest.
LMP2 Pro/Am: Thomas Claims His Debut ELMS Pole
The no14 TDS Racing Oreca-Gibson claimed the top spot in the LMP2 Pro/Am session with Steven Thomas posting a 1m45.611 lap to beat the rest of the field. The time was 0.273s faster than the other 11 cars on the grid, with the no47 CLX Motorsport of Georgios Kolovos the nearest rival at the chequered flag. The Greek driver set a 1m45.884, nearly half a second ahead of ‘mister qualifying’ Giorgio Roda in the no30 Duqueine Team Oreca.
PJ Hyett took the second row 2 position in the no99 AO by TF Oreca, with championship leader Michael Jensen finishing in fifth in the no20 Algarve Pro Racing. The no83 AF Corse of Francois Perrodo will start tomorrow’s race from 9th.
LMP3: CLX Motorsport on Pole for Crucial Silverstone Race
Reigning champions CLX Motorsport will start from pole position after Louis Iglesias secured his second top spot of the year after a fantastic battle with the no85 R-ace GP Duqueine of Hugo Schwarze.
Iglesias took the pole with a 1m53.144 lap, just 0.069s ahead of Schwarze’s 1m53.213 lap. The no8 Team Virage Ligier will start at the head of row two after Matteo Quintarelli posted a 1m53.646 lap, nearly half a second behind the two leading cars and three tenths ahead of the no5 Rinaldi Racing Ligier of Mikkel Gaarde Pedersen.
CLX Motorsport now have a 16-point lead in the LMP3 title race ahead of tomorrow’s fifth round of the 2026 season.
LMGT3: Al-Khelaifi Secures Third Pole of 2026 for Team Qatar by Iron Lynx
Abdulla Ali Al-Khelaifi put in the best lap in the 15-minute qualifying session for tomorrow’s Goodyear 4 Hours of Silverstone, with the Qatari driver’s time of 2m00.011 good enough to secure his and the team’s third pole position of the season.
The other front row slot on the class grid was secured by Blake McDonald in the no33 TF Sport Corvette at the chequered flag, the American crossing the line in 2m00.262 to knock Francois Heriau off the front row in the no59 Racing Spirit of Leman Aston Martin. Heriau will be joined on Row 2 by the no55 Spirit of Race Ferrari of Duncan Cameron, with championship leader Matt Kurzejewski finishing in 7th in the no75 Proton Competition Porsche.
The Goodyear 4 Hours of Silverstone, Round 5 of the 2026 European Le Mans Series, will take place on Sunday 13 September at 12h00.
