The second 90-minute Free Practice session ahead of tomorrow’s 4 Hours of Imola saw the no29 Forestier Racing by Panis Oreca-Gibson topping the timing screens for the second time. It was Estaban Masson who set the best lap of 1m31.991, just under half a second slower than his own best time in FP1.
Masson’s time was just 0.005s ahead of the second fastest car, the no37 CLX Motorsport Oreca, with Ian Aguilera posting a 1m31.996, 0.159s ahead of the no22 United Autosports in third and 0.395s ahead of the no28 IDEC Sport in fourth.
The fastest car in LMP2 Pro/Am was once again the no14 TDS Racing Oreca with the best lap of 1m32.461 set by Sami Meguetounif, which was good enough for 5th overall at the end of the session. The no99 AO by TF was second quickest in the class standings with the 1m32.569 lap set by Louis Delétraz placing the car 8th in the overall standings and 0.105s ahead of the no27 Nielsen Racing Oreca one place behind.
The no85 R-ace GP Duqueine-Toyota was the fastest in LMP3 with a 1m39.800 set by Pierre-Alexandre Provost. Provost was 0.163s ahead of Louis Iglesias in the no17 CLX Motorsport Ligier, who lapped the 4.909km circuit in 1m39.963, over half a second ahead of the no4 DKR Engineering Ligier in third spot.
In LMGT3 the no59 Racing Spirit of Léman Aston Martin was quickest for the second time, with Valentin Hasse Clot posting a 1m41.688, eight tenths faster than the best lap in FP1 yesterday. The no33 TF Sport Corvette was second fastest again, with Charlie Eastwood posting a 1m42.468, 0.252s ahead of the no86 GR Racing and the championship leading no57 Kessel Racing Ferrari 296s.
Qualifying for the 2026 4 Hours of Imola will start at 14h55 this afternoon, with LMGT3 taking to the track first. Qualifying will be shown live on the FIAWEC+ App HERE.
