The 100th Anniversary 24 Hours of Le Mans was certainly action packed from start to finish, with drivers and teams, both past and present, standing on the famous podium.

2019 ELMS LMGTE Driver’s Champion Alessandro Pier Guidi took the chequered flag in the Ferrari AF Corse Ferrari 499P to secure the Italian manufacturers first overall victory at Le Mans since 1965. Pier Guidi took his place on the top step of the podium alongside teammates James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi. The no50 Ferrari finished ahead of the no8 Toyota with former ELMS race winners Ryo Hirakawa and Brendon Hartley taking the second step of the podium alongside Sebastien Buemi.

ELMS teams fared well in LMP2 with Inter Europol Competition winning the highly competitive category with their FIA WEC entry. The Polish team finished 21 seconds ahead of reigning ELMS champions Team WRT, with ELMS driver champions Louis Delétraz, Robert Kubica and Rui Andrade standing on the second step of the podium. Third place went to Duqueine Team, with 2023 drivers Neel Jani, Rene Binder and Nico Pino taking a well-deserved podium finish at the end of a gruelling race.

The LMP2 Pro-Am class was won by Algarve Pro Racing, with ELMS regular James Allen now adding a 24 Hours of Le Mans winner’s trophy to his CV. The Australian was joined by Americans George Kurtz and Colin Braun on the top step of the podium. Second place went to COOL Racing with Nico Lapierre missing out on his 5th LMP2 winner’s trophy. Malthe Jakobsen and Alexandre Coigny lifted their 2ndplace trophies. Third went to DKR Engineering with Tom Van Rompuy, Ugo De Wilde and Maxime Martin celebrating with champagne in true motorsport style.

The LMGTE AM class was won by Corvette Racing, with former MLMC front runner Nicolas Varrone winning alongside Ben Keating and Nicky Catsburg. TF Sport took another trophy with the no25 ORF by TF Aston Martin finished second in the hands of ELMS race winner Ahmad Al Harthy and reigning LMP2 Pro/Am Champion Charlie Eastwood.
