The UK is well represented on the ELMS grid with no less than 20 drivers and 5 teams racing under the Union Flag at the Home of British Motorsport. In total there are 139 drivers and 30 teams representing 30 different nations from all corners of the globe for the four-hour showdown on Sunday 13 September.
LMP2: 11 Entries
Reigning champions Forestier Racing by Panis and United Autosports are tied on 70-points at the top of the Standings. Oliver Gray, Esteban Masson and Louis Rousset are classified as the championship leaders on countback thanks to two previous wins in Barcelona and Imola, compared to one win at Le Castellet for the United Autosports crew of Ben Hanley, Griffin Peebles and Gregoire Saucy.
Jamie Chadwick will be racing at home, having won the Goodyear 4 Hours of Silverstone in 2025. She will be joined in the no18 IDEC Sport Oreca by Valerio Rinicella and Laurents Hörr after securing their first podium of the season in Belgium last time out.
There are two other British teams on the grid. The no24 Nielsen Racing Oreca will feature British racer Ed Pearson, who will race alongside Roy Nissany and reserve F1 driver Jack Doohan. The no10 Vector Sport Oreca will feature Ryan Cullen, Vlad Lomko and Pietro Fittipaldi for the Goodyear 4 Hours of Silverstone.
Sebastian Priaulx will be racing at home in the no9 Proton Competition alongside Mike Rockenfeller and Jonas Ried, while Jake Hughes will be hoping for a bit of home advantage, racing alongside Tristan Vautier and Matthias Kaiser in the no25 Algarve Pro Racing Oreca.
Reigning 24 Hours of Le Mans Champions and 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps race winners Nick Yelloly, Tom Dillmann and Kuba Smiechowski will be racing the no43 Inter Europol Competition, with Yelloly hoping that home advantage will enable the team to take a step up the Silverstone podium after finishing second in 2025.
The LMP2 field is completed with a second entry for Inter Europol Competition, the only two-man crew of Bijoy Garg and Reshad de Gerus in the no34 Oreca-Gibson, the no28 IDEC Sport and the no37 CLX Motorsport Orecas.
LMP2 Pro/Am: 12 Entries
The LMP2 Pro/Am field sees three cars racing under the Union Flag, with United Autosports, Nielsen Racing and Vector Sport all running a second car alongside their LMP2 entries.
Last year’s class winners Kriton Lentoudis and his British teammate Alex Quinn will be racing in the no27 Nielsen Racing Oreca-Gibson with former ELMS champion James Allen. The no21 United Autosports will feature an unchanged driver lineup of Daniel Schneider, Marino Sato and Britain’s Oliver Jarvis, while the no7 Vector Sport Oreca will feature an unchanged line up of Jens Reno Møller, Cem Bölükbaşı and Lorenzo Fluxa following their class win in Imola.
Two cars are tied on 61-points for the lead of the LMP2 Pro/Am Championship with the no20 Algarve Pro Racing crew of Barcelona race winners Michael Jensen, Enzo Trulli and Malthe Jakobsen and the no83 AF Corse line up of Round 4 winners François Perrodo, Matthieu Vaxiviere and Antonio Fuoco. The APR crew are classified as leading the championship on countback, due to the fact they have two second place finishes to AF Corse’s one second place finish.
Reigning champions PJ Hyett, Louis Delétraz and Dane Cameron secured their second podium finish in Belgium in the no99 AO by TF, known as ‘Spike the Dragon’. Last year the American team finished second at Silverstone, missing the victory by just 0.141 seconds.
There is one driver change, with Maceo Capietto replacing Julien Andlauer in the no3 DKR Engineering, racing alongside Jean Glorieux and Marlon Hernandez for the second time this season.
Former championship leaders Giorgio Roda, Richard Verschoor and Doriane Pin will be looking to return to the podium in Silverstone, with Roda setting his sights on a fourth pole position in the no30 Duqueine Team Oreca in 2026.
The LMP2 Pro/Am field is completed by TDS Racing, Rossa Racing by Virage, CLX Motorsport and Proton Competition.
LMP3: 10 Entries
The 10 car LMP3 field will feature two British drivers for the Goodyear 4 Hours of Silverstone, with Matthew Richard Bell in the no11 Eurointernational Ligier-Toyota alongside Douwe Dedecker and Max Van Der Snel, and Terrence Woodward in the no35 Ultimate Ligier alongside Lucas Fecury and Sebastian Gravlund.
Unlike the other classes, the LMP3 championship standings sees a 15-point advantage to reigning champions CLX Motorsport, and 2025 Goodyear 4 Hours of Silverstone class winners, after Paul Lanchère, Alexander Jacoby and Louis Iglesias claimed their second win of the season in Belgium after the no5 Rinaldi Racing Ligier was disqualified after the race for a fuel tank infringement.
The no85 R-ace GP Duqueine of Fabien Michal, Pierre-Alexandre Provost and Hugo Schwarze are second in the standings on 50-points, one point ahead of the Rinaldi Racing crew of José Fernandes Cautela, Alvise Rodella and Mikkel Gaarde Pedersen.
After securing a win in Le Castellet and a third place in Barcelona, the no13 Inter Europol Competition crew of Alexander Bukhantsov, Henry Cubides Olarte and Chun Ting Chou will be looking to get their championship challenge back on track in the UK.
The no31 Racing Spirit of Léman will feature a two-man crew for the first time this season, with Lenny Ried and Ralph Meichtry racing as a duo at Silverstone.
The LMP3 field is completed by DKR Engineering, Team Virage and M Racing.
LMGT3: 14 Entries
The largest of the four ELMS grids will see 14 cars featuring six different manufacturers and seven British drivers and three British teams.
After scoring their first ELMS victory since Silverstone 2015 in Belgium last month, GR Racing will head for their home race, with Mike Wainwright and Lorcan Hanafin being joined by their Dutch teammate Mex Jansen in the no86 Ferrari 296 LMGT3 Evo.
United Autosports will field their McLaren 720S LMGT3 Evo for British drivers Wayne Boyd and Michael Birch and their Australian teammate Garnet Patterson.
Reigning LMGT3 champions TF Sport will field an unchanged driver line up with 2025 drivers’ champion Charlie Eastwood racing with his two American teammates Blake McDonald and Alec Udell in the no33 Corvette. They are currently just one point behind championship leaders Matt Kurzejewski, Thomas Sargent and Richard Lietz in the no75 Proton Competition Porsche.
Britain’s Harry King will replace Alessio Picariello in the no77 Proton Competition Porsche, joining Martin Berry and Huub Van Eijndhoven.
Other driver changes on the LMGT3 grid include Benjamin Paque stepping in for Anders Fjordbach in the no54 High Class Racing Porsche, François Hériau replacing Tony McIntosh in the no 59 Racing Spirit of Léman Aston Martin, with Valentin Hasse Clot returning to the driving seat for the French team after missing the race at Spa-Francorchamps.
Ralf Aron will replace Maxime Martin in the no62 Team Qatar by Iron Lynx Mercedes-AMG, the Estonian having the distinction of being a championship winning Team Manager with Prema Racing in 2022 and now making his debut as a racing driver in the ELMS alongside Abdulla Ali Al-Khelaifi and Julian Hanses.
Two other British drivers will feature on the LMGT3 grid, with multiple race winner Duncan Cameron back in the no55 Spirit of Race Ferrari alongside his regular teammates Ireland’s Matt Griffin and South African David Perel. Ameerh Naran will also be racing at home alongside reigning LMGT3 champion Rui Andrade from Angola and Brazil’s Sergio Sette Camara in the no63 Iron Lynx Mercedes-AMG.
The LMGT3 winners of the 2025 Goodyear 4 Hours of Silverstone, Custodio Toledo, Lilou Wadoux and Riccardo Agostini will be competing in the no50 Richard Mille AF Corse Ferrari 296 in this year’s race.
A pair of Ferrari 296s are fielded by Swiss team Kessel Racing, including the 4 Hours of Le Castellet winning no57 Ferrari of Takeshi Kimura, Daniel Serra and Mathys Jaubert. The no51 AF Corse Ferrari 296 completes the grid for the Goodyear 4 Hours of Silverstone.
