A weekend of action-packed entertainment is on offer for everyone who visits the 6 Hours of Shanghai for the 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship at the impressive Shanghai International Circuit.  Not only will the action on track be ‘red hot’ during the weekend, but there will be plenty of great off track entertainment as well.

The People’s Republic of China hosts the seventh round of the 8-race championship and championship titles could be claimed as the chequered flag falls, guaranteeing tension and edge-of-the-seat excitement throughout the race.

Qualifying for the 6 Hours of Shanghai takes places on Saturday 31st October and the race itself will be unleashed at 11 am on Sunday 1st November.  This year will be the WEC’s fourth visit to China, and there will be more cars, more famous drivers and even more for fans to see and do.

As well as a star-studded grid of 31 cars and drivers such as André Lotterer, Mark Webber, Sébastien Buemi and Patrick Dempsey, plus manufacturer entries from Porsche, Audi, Toyota, Ferrari and Aston Martin, Shanghai will also host rounds of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, the Audi R8 LMS Cup and the FASC Super GT Festival, making it a real celebration of great sportscar action.  Hong-Kong based KCMG and Chinese-born drivers Ho-Ping Tung and David Cheng provide added local interest.

In addition there is a full weekend of entertainment on offer with plenty to keep all the family enthralled through Saturday and Sunday:

Music festival

Famous Chinese band 战斧乐队(Tomahawk) will be performing on stage in the Entertainment Area, matching the pace, excitement and noise of the 31 WEC cars on track.  Based on 2014’s success, the music festival will be expanded this year to include this band who will also be on the starting grid in order to interact with spectators between 10am and 11am on Sunday.
