TEAM NEWS: Inter Europol Competition unveils Art Car for Le Mans 2026.

Polish Impressionism meets a legendary circuit.

Inter Europol Competition is entering a new level of storytelling in motorsport. The team has unveiled a unique Art Car project that will compete in this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans. Behind the wheel of the #43 car will be Kuba Śmiechowski, Tom Dillmann, and Nick Yelloly, a line-up returning to the Circuit de la Sarthe to fight once again for top honours.

The visual concept was created by Polish designers Aleksandra and Gustaw Lange (Lange & Lange Design), who developed a project that goes far beyond the traditional approach to race car liveries. The Inter Europol Competition Art Car is a comprehensive concept encompassing not only the prototype itself, but also the entire visual identity and communication of the project.

The inspiration stems from the team’s signature colours - yellow and green - derived from the landscape of rapeseed fields. However, this is only the starting point. The designers went further, building a narrative rooted in Polish Impressionism and, more broadly, in the history of Polish art. Their work references artists such as Leon Wyczólkowski, Edward Dwurnik, and Waldemar Świerzy, as well as the aesthetics of the Polish School of Poster Art.

Instead of using obvious national symbols such as the flag or historical motifs, the creators opted for subtlety and a multi-layered narrative. The motif of the rapeseed field, static and calm, has been transformed into a dynamic visual language that reflects the speed, energy, and aerodynamics of a racing car. The colours are not merely decorative; they function as a system, creating the impression of motion and of the LMP2 prototype “cutting through space.”

“Our goal was to create something that works on an immediate visual level, but also carries deeper layers of meaning. This is not just aesthetics, it is a language that connects history, emotion, and function.” - the designers explain.

“A key element of the project was combining art with the rigours of motorsport. As the creators emphasize, the Art Car had to meet all technical requirements, from aerodynamics to brand visibility. In motorsport, function is critical. The design must comply with real technical constraints. When beauty meets function, the best results emerge.” they add.

For Inter Europol Competition, the Art Car project is a natural continuation of building a distinctive team identity. Motorsport today is no longer just about competition on track, it is increasingly becoming part of the worlds of design, culture, and lifestyle. This project demonstrates that a racing car can be not only a tool for fighting for seconds, but also a carrier of stories and emotions.

Sascha Fassbender, Sport Director, Inter Europol Competition: “Winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans twice and finishing second once has shown us what it takes to perform at the very highest level of endurance racing. But motorsport today is more than just competition, it is a powerful communication platform and an opportunity to think beyond the obvious.

"With this Art Car project, we wanted to go further than performance alone. It is about expressing who we are as a team, telling a story, and connecting with people in a way that goes beyond the track. Motorsport gives you a unique stage, and we believe it should also be a space for creativity, for bold ideas, and for thinking truly out of the box.”

The 24 Hours of Le Mans, one of the oldest and most prestigious races in the world, will serve as the stage for this story. It is there, in mid-June, that the Inter Europol Competition Art Car will make its debut under the most demanding conditions, where every detail matters, both technical and visual.

“Le Mans is a place where every detail and every decision counts. This project shows that motorsport is not only about performance, but also about emotion and storytelling in a unique way. We are proud to be part of something so special and we can’t wait to get started.” says Kuba Śmiechowski, driver and team owner of Inter Europol Competition.

The presence of the line-up - Kuba Śmiechowski, Tom Dillmann, and Nick Yelloly - adds another dimension to the project. Their experience, precision, and teamwork will determine the result on track, but it is the Art Car that will ensure the story of this entry resonates beyond the sport itself.

The project by Lange & Lange is more than a one-off creation. It is a coherent communication concept that brings together motorsport, art, and Polish visual sensitivity into a single narrative, one that begins on the track, but has the potential to reach far beyond it.

The 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans is the 94th edition of the race that was first run in 1923 and will take place on 13/14 June.  CLICK HERE for more information on the event.
