Doriane Pin was the fastest LMP2 driver in the first 3-hour practice session for the 94th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The French driver posted a 3m35.248 lap towards the end of the session in the no30 Duqueine Team Oreca-Gibson, finishing ahead of the second fastest car, the no14 TDS Racing by 0.710s after Kévin Estre posted a 3m35.958 to secure the top spot in LMP2 Pro/Am.
IDEC Sport finished the session third fastest with Valerio Rinicella setting a 3m36.189 lap around the 13.6km Circuit des 24 Heures, just 0.035s ahead of Dane Cameron in the no99 AO by TF, the second fastest in LMP2 Pro/Am.
The fastest ELMS car in the LMGT3 category was the no62 Team Qatar by Iron Lynx Mercedes-AMG, with Julien Hanses posting a 3m55.904, 0.167s behind the fastest car in the class, the no78 Akkodis ASP Team Lexus of Jack Hawksworth, who set a 3m55.737 lap time, one tenth of a second ahead of the two Team WRT BMW M4s.
The no57 Kessel Racing Ferrari was the second quickest ELMS car, which finished the session 12th in class with Daniel Serra posting the cars best lap of 3m56.580.
The cars will be back on track for qualifying at 18h45 CEST for a 30-minute session for LMP2 and LMGT3, with the top 15 cars going through to Hyperpole tomorrow evening.
