ELMS Teams and Drivers Meet the Locals

This evening the European Le Mans Series put on a special display in the centre of Granollers, with three cars, Kessel Racing Ferrari, IDEC Sport Oreca and Team Virage Ligier, and their drivers to give the local fans a closer look at the cars that will be racing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya this weekend.

Hundreds of fans turned out to have look at the cars in the Plaça de la Corona in Granollers and take the opportunity to get an autograph and selfie with Spanish driver Daniel Nogales (Team Virage), Brazil’s Daniel Serra (Kessel Racing) and Italian Valerio Rinicella (IDEC Sport). 

After a couple of hours the cars and drivers headed back to the circuit and to continue with their preparations for this weekend’s first round of the 2026 European Le Mans Series, the 4 Hours of Barcelona on Sunday 12 April.

4 Hours of Barcelona

The 4 Hours of Barcelona weekend begins on Friday 10 April with Free Practice 1 and the 30-minute Bronze Driver Collective Test.

On Saturday 11 April will feature the second 90-minute Free Practice session followed by qualifying for the 4 Hours of Barcelona. The 4 Hours of Barcelona takes place on Sunday 12 April, with the race due to start at 12h00 and the chequered flag waved four hours later at 16h00.
