With the sun high in the sky above the Circuit Paul Ricard, twenty seven cars started the first session this morning to begin the 2015 European Le Mans Series Official Test.
The ELMS teams and drivers used the time to develop the settings on their cars and shake off the winter cobwebs as they tested themselves against their nearest rivals for the 2015 titles.
After four hours, the morning session finished with the Murphy Prototypes ORECA 03R n°48 setting this morning's fastest lap in the LMP2 category, while Ferrari Italia 458 n°51 was first in the LMGTE category.
The only BMW Z4 GT3 of TDS Racing topped the timing sheet of the GTC entries, and for the first time the LMP3 Ginetta Nissan was able to compete along it's LMP2 sisters.
Second test session will start at 2:00pm for 4 additional hours, while the third and final session of the day will take place in the dark from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
