SMP Racing announces Vitaly Petrov as their third driver in Spa-Francorchamps

Vitaly Petrov, first Russian driver to compete in the Formula 1 World Championship will be at the wheel of the n°32 SMP Racing BR01 Nissan for the 4 Hours of Spa Francorchamps. He will drive alongside Stefano Coletti and Andreas Wirth.

At this occasion he will meet again with his former Renault teammate, Robert Kubica who will be at the wheel of a Renault RS 0.1. After 3 seasons in F1, one season in Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, Petrov was back at the wheel of an LMP2 in WEC where he competes also with SMP Racing. He will make his debuts in ELMS for the 5th round of the championship the 24 and 25^th of September.

SMP Racing stands now 3^rd in the championship classification, only 17 points from the leader. No doubt that the Russian team will aim at a podium in Spa-Francochamps to stay in the top 3 of the classification.
