Road To Le Mans - What the drivers said
16/06/2016

Christian England – n°2 Ligier JSP3 Nissan – United Autosports

It’s my first time at Le Mans. It’s iconic and such a fantastic track to drive. The weather conditions were not great and I went out for the first time with slick tyre, so it was difficult,  but we did some laps to get to know the track. We’ve got another session today and I hope we could learn the track and be ready for race day.

"The car was good, we have a good basic set up on the car, the one we have all year.  Obviously we have shown it in the first two races so we are confident and we will see what we can do.

As with every other race, we turn up to win and do the best result possible and I don’t see any reason why we can’t. We hope to continue in that winning form. We will see what the weather will do and what we will do!”

Nicolas Misslin – n°26 Ferrari F458 Italia GT3 – Classic & Modern Racing

"Le Mans is a mythical and fantastic track that we discover for the first time. The session was not easy for me because I started with slick tyres in light rain in order to bed in the brakes. At the end of the first lap, a car went out in front of me and I tried to avoid it but I went out and touched the wall on the front right hand side. It wasn’t really ideal for my confidence. Then I did two laps with rain tyres but as the car was a little damaged we couldn’t drive really fast. I then gave the wheel to Mathieu Vaxiviere to allow him to get to know the track. Today, with the second free practice and qualifying, the real test is going to start."

"The whole track is really cool. The LMP3 cars are fastest so I hope that we won’t bother each other. We are taking part into the GT3 Le Mans Cup series and not the LMP3, so we have to be careful and to do a good qualification in order to not be bothered by them."
