After finishing the season as Vice Champion in the 2017 Michelin Le Mans Cup, the 21-year old Scottish driver will make his debut in European Le Mans Series this season with Ecurie Ecosse/ Nielsen, alongside Alex Kapadia and Christian Stubbe Olsen as team mates. Colin Noble will also fight for the title in the Michelin Le Mans Cup onboard of the n°79 Ligier JS P3 alongside fellow Scot Alasdair McCaig.
Q: You will make your ELMS debut this season with Ecurie Ecosse/ Nielsen, a team that you know very well. How do you feel about the upcoming season?
I'm excited to be stepping up to ELMS with Ecurie Ecosse / Nielsen, the team is very professional and deliver a quick car I think along with Christian Olsen and Alex Kapadia we have a competitive driver line up
Q: Last season you finished second in the Michelin Le Mans Cup and this season you will have a double programme in both Series. How will you tackle this new challenge and what are your goals?
I see doing both series as a benefit more than a challenge. I enjoy driving the LMP3 cars, and I've really worked on improving my personal fitness over the winter to ensure I'm prepared to give 100% from start to finish of the weekend.
Q: What do you think of the 2018 LMP3 grid?
It’s good to see the LMP3 grids growing and looking strong in numbers and driver quality in both ELMS and the Michelin Le Mans Cup. Several teams could win races in either series and I hope we'll be among them.
Q: Of the six race circuits on the ELMS calendar, which are you looking forward to the most and why?
I enjoy all the tracks on the ELMS calendar but if I am to pick my favourite it has to be Red Bull Ring, I really enjoy the undulations and flow of the track and I’m excited to revisit it again this year!
