During the first qualifying session of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, TF Sport with its n°90 Aston Martin Vantage driven by Euan Hankey sets the third fastest time of the LMGTE AM category with a lap in 3:55.953. The next ELMS car in the LMGTE AM class is the Porsche 911 RSR n°88 (Proton Competition) in 7th position followed by the new F488 n°84 of JMW driven by Will Stevens with a lap in 3:56.890.
In the LMP2 class, the quickest ELMS entry was Ryo Hirakawa at the wheel of the n°22 G-Drive Racing Oreca 7 setting a lap in 3:31.963, only two seconds behind the first LMP2 car (TDS Racing). Just behind on 11th and 12th position of the class we found the Oreca 07 n°40 and 39 of Graff Racing driven by Richard Bradley/ James Allen/ Franck Matelli (3:32.477) and Eric Trouillet / Enzo Guibbert/ James Winslow(3:32.987). Between the 10th and the 18th position of the class we can found only ELMS entries which is promising for tomorrow qualifications that will made the grid for the start of the 85th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
This time sheet shows well the competitivity of the ELMS cars in the middle of the WEC entries in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
