If taking part in the 4 Hours of Silverstone was not enough action, some drivers will really be earning their money this weekend as they complete double duty by also appearing in Sunday’s WEC 6 Hours of Silverstone.
The packed timetable will see logistics and time management tested to the maximum for 14 drivers as they skip from one cockpit to another.
At Dragonspeed, the trio of Nicolas Lapierre, Henrik Hedman and Ben Hanley will have been training extra hard as they compete in both events this weekend.
Other LMP drivers in race action in both ELMS and WEC races include Gustavo Menezes (Rebellion/APR Rebellion), Matthieu Vaxivière (TDS/Racing Engineering) and Romano Ricci (Larbre/MRacing-YMR).
Eight LMGTE drivers will pull double stints too with Matt Griffin (Clearwater/Spirit of Race), Christian Ried (Dempsey-Proton/Proton Competition), Michael Wainwright, Ben Barker, Alex Davison (all Gulf Racing) and Gianluca Roda, Giorgio Roda and Matteo Cairoli (all Proton Competition) in action.
Giving true meaning to the meaning of endurance, the hard-working 14 will earn their sleep come Sunday evening!
