Porsche Motorsport made its 24 Hours of Le Mans debut in June 1951 with two Porsche 356 SLs entered in the S1.1 class.   While the no47 didn’t start the race after an accident in practice, the no46 Porsche 956 SL of Auguste Veuillet and Edmond Mouche finished in 19th overall to take the class win at the first attempt.  This victory marked the first of 112 class and 19 overall victories at Le Mans over the last 75 years.

The design of the 2026 Porsche 911 is deliberately minimalistic and functional and, in line with its historic predecessor, the base colour is classic silver.

The sides feature the iconic round number panel—a clear nod to motorsport heritage. Instead of the original number 46, however, this car carries the number “75” to mark the anniversary.

The result is a cohesive design that reflects 75 years of Porsche Motorsport evolution, blending tradition with innovation.
