With the 4 Hours of Monza next week, we are now halfway through the 2021 European Le Mans Series season.

Let’s have a look to what happen so far and to the championship classifications.

In the LMP2 class, Orlen Team WRT (Oreca #41) is heading the championship classification for its first full ELMS season. Robert Kubica, Louis Deletraz and Yifei Ye are now on 60 points after taking the win at Barcelona and the Red Bull Ring. A victory at Le Castellet has allowed the n°26 G-Drive Racing Aurus 01 to come back with 57 points, only three points behind the Belgian team.

In third position are the 2020 champion United Autosports with the n°22 Oreca 07 of Phil Hanson, Jonathan Aberdein and Tom Gamble.

The new LMP2 Pro/ Am classification is dominated by the n°25 G-Drive Racing Aurus 01 with 61 points followed by the n°34 Racing Team Turkey Oreca 07 and the n°29 Ultimate Oreca 07 both tied on 52 points.

In the LMP3 class, after two wins at Barcelona and the Red Bull Ring and one second place at Le Castellet, the n°19 Cool Racing Ligier JS P320 is leading the classification with 68 points for Nicolas Maulini, Matt Bell and Nikklas Kruetten. 27 points behind is the n°4 DKR Engineering Duqueine M30-D08. On third position is the 15 RLR MSport Ligier with 30 points.

Finally, the LMGTE class is topped by a trio of Ferrari. First, the n°80 Iron Lynx Ferrari 488 GTE EVO of Matteo Cressoni, Rino Mastronardi and Miguel Molina with 65 points. Right behind, with 51 points is the n°55 Spirit of Race Ferrari and the n°88 AF Corse Ferrari with 41 points.

The 4 Hours of Monza will mark the start of the second part of the season and the race to the European title. Do not miss this round on the Italian soil, on Sunday 11th July, it will be streamed live in our website and YouTube channel in both English and French.
