4 Hours of Portimão – Facts and Figures

Portugal has hosted the European Le Mans Series season finale since 2014.  For three years from 2014 to 2016 the Portuguese round of the series was held at Estoril, with the race held at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve being held in 2017.  2022 will be the sixth edition of the 4 Hours of Portimão.

  1. The first edition of the 4 Hours of Portimão was held on the 22nd October 2017 and won by the no40 Graff Oreca 07-Gibson of Richard Bradley, James Allen and Gustavo Yacaman.
  2. The no77 Proton Competition Porsche, which is the current LMGTE Championship leader, has won three of the five previous 4 Hours of Portimão, with Christian Ried being a member of all three crews in 2017, 2018 and 2020.
  3. United Autosports is the most successful team at Portimão with two LMP2 (2018 and 2021) and two LMP3 (2017 and 2020) victories.The Anglo-American team has also appeared on both the LMP2 and LMP3 podiums in every race since 2017, with 13 podium finishes in total.
  4. 2022 LMP3 Championship leaders Inter Europol Competition have won at Portimão in two previous occasions – 2018 and 2021.
