24 Hours of Le Mans – Interview with Tristan Gommendy
14/06/2016

“The n°1 goal is to finish the race. This is a first for my teammates so it’s going to be complicated but we are well prepared. I try to communicate my experience and to anticipate all the problems that we could have but I think that for the first year, it will not be reasonable to think to something else than finishing the race.

We have a car that is working well, we have done a good job but Le Mans is Le Mans so when no one knows the race except me, it’s complicated to consider anything. We are going to take thing step by step, starting with the free practice on Wednesday to get ready.

My teammates are “rookies” so they have a lot of questions, which is a good thing, we talk a lot and we are going lot on the track. The thing is that we can’t explain everything. Nothing will be more important than experience and participation in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.  They have a lot of questions about the track and about technical details so this is the only thing I can explain to them.  Concerning the traffic, we try to discuss about it but so many things can happen in Le Mans that they will discover a lot.
