Late on Monday evening, as the sun sank behind the trees that line the Monza circuit, the three cars from the 2016 championship winning teams, G-Drive Racing, United Autosports and Beechdean AMR, gathered on the historic Monza banking for a special picture before the first track action of the 2017 European Le Mans Series season got underway.
The banked track at Monza was last used for racing in 1969 for the 1000km of Monza and is no longer used. However the banked track remains as part of the history of Italy’s premier race venue.
Our three 2016 champions are now ready to fight to defend their title.
