Ahead of the 4 Hours of Monza, Paul Loup Chatin, driver of the n°28 Idec Sport Oreca 07, has tested positive for Covid-19 at his home in France and then won’t take part to the race. The name of the driver replacing him will be announced soon.
In accordance with the COVID-19 protocols of the European Le Mans Series and Monza circuit, and to meet the requirements of the Italian government, Paul Loup had a PCR test prior to travelling to Italy. This first test came back positive and a second test confirmed this result.
Paul Loup Chatin was not in contact of any member of the Idec Sport team and is now under quarantine at home, in France.
The name of the driver replacing him for the 4 Hours of Monza, fourth round of the 2020 European Le Mans Series will be announced soon.
Nicolas Minassian, Idec Sport Sporting Director: “After a first positive test, we have now the confirmation that Paul Loup won’t be able to travel to Monza to race this weekend. He is now under quarantine at his home. He does not have any symptoms and is feeling well. We are looking forward to seeing him back in Portimão.”
