Winners of the 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, Filipe Albuquerque and Jens Pertersen told us their thoughts about the track at Portimão.
Filipe Albuquerque, United Autosports n°22 Oreca 07: “Portimão is going to be busy, with a lot of attention there. The track is amazing, I really like the lay out with blind corners and I think everyone like this kind of circuit with fast corners. I have great memories from the past, I have won there, I stood on the podium with different categories. So going there now after the win in Spa-Francorchamps we have a full motivation and we know we can do another great job. Why not clinch another pole position as well? I’m really looking forward to it.”

Jens Petersen, Eurointernational n°11 Ligier JS P3: “I’ve been to Portimão last year for the first time with the Michelin Le Mans Cup and I immediately liked it a lot. This circuit has a lot of elevation change and it reminds me a lot the track where I started racing, it’s like a roller coaster. Last year I was not really at my maximum as it was my first-time racing on this track but this year will be much better and I hope we can win the championship there.”
The 4 Hours of Portimão, final round of the 2019 European Le Mans Series will be held on Sunday 27th October.
