What the drivers think about Spa

ELMS - 06/09/2017 - Sophie LIGER

Five drivers representing the three classes gave us their thought about Spa-Francorchamps, the next stop of the ELMS and the fifth round of the season that will be held on the 24th of September.

Egor Orudzhev (SMP Racing n°27): “I’ve only been to Spa with single seater so we look forward to it and we hope to be there.”

Memo Rojas (G-Drive Racing n°22): “It’s one of my favourite circuit as many drivers. We think it’s a good track for our car, it has something that could benefit us but we never know what can happen. We are in the middle of the title fight so we will be pushing as hard as we can until the end of the year so hopefully Spa will be a good track for us.”

Filipe Albuquerque (United Autosports n°32): “Spa won’t be our strongest track, it will be hard and as we could see in Le Castellet many things can happen. The track can be very demanding concerning the tyres and a single lap can be very difficult for us and our car. But we are used to that all over the year and we are doing well with what we have, we will never give up and we will be there.”

John Falb (United Autosports n°2): “I’m really looking forward to go to Spa, it’s going to be fun. When the car is working well I love Eau Rouge but when it’s not it’s a little bit like a gamble! It’s a really fast track, with fast turns and that’s what I enjoy about it.”

Matt Griffin (Spirit of Race n°55): “Spa is fantastic, the LMGTE class is very competitive and the ELMS is a great championship. Any car can win, the number is not that high but the six cars can win the race. Every driver love Spa, the three of us (with Aaron Scott and Duncan Cameron) have a lot of experience at there. Hopefully we will put the car on the track, FP1 will be good and we will have a good weekend. I’m really looking forward to tackle Eau Rouge and Blanchimont with our car especially for the qualifying.”
