ELMS - 10/03/2017
Q: You raced with M Racing-YMR in 2016 and you are continuing with the team in 2017. Do you feel that having the same team this season will help your title challenge this season?
Of course, we have to work to finish together. The 2016 season was really satisfying at every level. We now have to build on what we have learnt last year.
Q: You finished on the top step of the podium in Estoril to finish the 2016 season on a high note. What was it like to win an ELMS race in such a competitive LMP3 category?
It’s really rewarding to win a race in a European Championship such as ELMS where the best drivers of Europe, even the world, are fighting. Personally, I think that was an accomplishment of all the work we have done through the year. It’s also a way to thank the team for their great energy that helped us to win.
Q: What are your goals for year two in the ELMS?
To be European LMP3 champion!
Q: You raced on four of the six tracks on the 2017 calendar last season. What are your thoughts on the new circuits on the calendar at Monza and Portimão?
It’s interesting to make some improvements to the calendar from one year to another and to discover new circuits. Monza is a mythical track, it is with great pleasure that I have discovered it on the new calendar.
The circuit of Portimão is also great and it will be really interesting to work with in terms of set up and driving.
Q: Of this six circuits which are you looking to racing on the most and why?
Spa without hesitation! This is my favourite track of the championship and it quick layout is good for me. And I’m not talking about Raidillon, which one of the most exciting corner of the world!
