The no37 Cool Racing Oreca of Nico Lapierre was second quickest at the end of the 90-minute free practice session, 0.434s behind the leading car.
The no21 Dragonspeed Oreca, which had gone quickest in FP1, was third fastest with Ben Hanley posting a 1m41.570, 0.064s ahead of the no25 Algarve Pro Racing Oreca of reigning LMP2 driver’s champion Andrea Pizzitola in fourth.
The no9 Realteam Racing Norma set the pace in LMP3 with David Droux setting a 1m51.449 lap towards the end of the session. The Swiss driver was just 0.051s ahead of the no10 Oregon Team Norma of Damiano Fioravanti and nearly two tenths ahead of the no13 Inter Europl Competition Ligier of Nigel Moore.
Porsche once again set the pace in the LMGTE category with the no88 Proton Competition Porsche of Thomas Preining out in front with a 1m53.473. The no77 Dempsey-Proton Racing 911 RSR of Matteo Cairoli was second quickest, 0.5 seconds behind the lead car, while the no83 Kessel Racing Ferrari was third fastest with Michelle Gatting setting a 1m54.070 lap time.
Qualifying for the 4 Hours of Le Castellet will take place at 12h35 CET starting with LMGTE.
