The Danish team will be entering the 2023 European Le Mans Series and 24 Hours of Le Mans with an Aston Martin Vantage AMR LMGTE thanks to an automatic invitation earned with the championship win in this year’s Michelin Le Mans Cup.
An agreement has been made between GMB Motorsport and Aston Martin Racing regarding the upcoming season, which entails that GMB Motorsport will be driving an Aston Martin Vantage GTE at 24 Hours of Le Mans and the European Le Mans Series.
Behind the wheel of the English GTE will be a successful GMB-trio; Jens Reno Møller, Gustav Birch and the Danish TCR-champion Kasper H. Jensen. Each of whom participated in this year’s Le Mans Cup, and each finished the season on the podium after the last race in Portimão back in October. Spearheading the team will of course be team manager Casper Elgaard, who himself drove for Aston Martin Racing at Le Mans back in 2007.
The first opportunity to see the new Aston Martin Vantage GTE in action will be the 19th of April next year during the official tests for ELMS ahead of the first race of the season the 23rd of April in Barcelona.
Note: Entry is subject to confirmation by the Endurance Committee.
